He owns the place but he's moving to Nagano with Yuki. He was gonna sell it but he knows we've been looking for a place. It's a little far but... the dogs... the beach... just... everything.

We'd be saving a fortune on rent/house payments, though, so that extra could go to gas money/travel costs...and it's plenty big enough for both of us and all three dogs... There's even room for your brother and his dog to come visit for a few days if he wanted...

I just find it hard to believe he's willing to give it to us.

I'm still trying to get my head around it as well... Then again... It's mom's side of the family and Daimo's dad isn't exactly poor...

Still....I'd like to make sure he's absolutely positive he doesn't want anything from us...maybe even make him an offer, before just going ahead and taking it....But I say we go for it.

She probably would if you ask. You could probably come over early and give her a hand in the kitchen if you wanted to pick some stuff up.
