Yup. I got the Red Ring of Death. No, not some disease that will kill me, but close enough.
My Xbox is bricked. It's a big, white box of worthless plastic and circuit boards. It's age has exceeded Microsoft's "Red Light Warranty", so it'll cost me $100 to fix it, with barely a guaranty that it won't happen again. Or, I could buy a new machine for $200-$300 (depending on the type I'd want to purchase). And, before you ask, no, the towel trick didn't work, nor am I willing to keep trying it.
Now, here's the kicker, I'm broke. I can't afford the repairs (never mind a new one).
I'm seriously not sure if my current, fragile state of mind is going to be able to handle this.
