I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts

Whoops, sorry I haven’t been updating very much. It’s been fairly busy around here, but also kind of fun. I also have a hard time focusing since I’m trying to constantly remind myself of things to do, but here is a stream-of-conciousness run down.

We ordered a whole bunch of anime for Christmas (Debbie: thanks for the tip!) which included Mushishi, Trigun, Rahxephon, Baccano, Noir, Samurai X, and the first Evangelion remake. I’ve seen the latter three, but apparently I’m behind the times with the others. Series I’ve recently watched:

Natsume’s Book of Friends (Natsume Yuujinchou): Love this series! Alas, it is only on Crunchyroll.com, but I would love to have this on DVD. Maybe it will be someday? =)

Mushishi was very good: starts off with very bittersweet stories, but they get much more uplifting as the series goes on.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: Finished the third of …5 seasons? Pride is an evil little sucker. And I’m guessing that Hohenheim will have this lovely tragic hero role which we’re excited about.

Rahxephon: I really enjoyed Rahxephon! Which was recommended to me by Christine, what , a decade ago? It was very pretty. =D Except for the ending, which is WEIRD. [I don’t really want to see 2 giant mechs going down on each other.] I just added Mishima’s dress sans giant bow to my “to sew” list.

Speaking of sewing, I’ve caught the crafty bug and …while I have things to make for other people, Sakuracon is coming. Yes, I’ve regressed about 10 years in age, but I have fun. =) My friends and I are super-excited to make a Final Fantasy mage group. I already have my red mage costume from last year (needs a new hat and bootcoveres), so I can use my time to help my friends make their white mage and black mage costumes. With corsets since those’re the only costumes we make around here anymore. Won’t be skanky, I promise. =)

Ooo, I’m also the proud owner of a “Damsel in this Dress” courtier bodice. Very comfy for a corset too. =)
