rec + anecdote
I was going to wait to make a longer post about alllll the fics I love from wintergameskink, but then the last paragraph of the most recent update of this one tipped me over into MUST REC NOW! mode:
"We were never," Johnny broke in. He paused, trying to figure out how to explain it. They wouldn't get it anyway, because they'd never been there - and how fucking crazy was it that Evan was the only one who would? At least Johnny thought so, because it wasn't like they'd ever talked about it. As far as he was concerned, it was never even sex, it was just something that was part of fighting, part of competing, of being that focused on beating someone else, on someone else, until every little thing about them, from their stupid too-white teeth to their weird manscaping, was just extra fuel. It wasn't something he could really explain on to a reporter or on TV, even if he figured out how to put it into words. "Fuck."
It's titled Overexposure, and it's a Johnny/Evan WiP. The gist of the prompt is: "Sex tape leaks. Everyone freaks. They have to go on a damage control press run," and it also stipulates that Johnny and Evan should hate each other at the start (YAY). The author took that and freaking ran with it; the result is AWESOME and you should read it!

And now for the anecdote! In the classroom where I've been working, there's a sign-out sheet for when students leave the room. I looked it over the other day and noticed that this one girl had written that she left the class at 10:05 to go to the barroom.
I can't remember the last time a spelling error made me laugh so hard. &student's name goes here;
