Behind the Scenes of Villain/VillainE

Some "Behind the Scenes" Things About Villain and VillainE that you may or may not know.... This will not include things that should be obvious lol. And I'm sure there's more but these are just some fun facts I can remember off the top of my head haha....

1) The original outline for Villain only planned for 10 chapters. When I sit down to actually write... things tend to be longer than I planned, lol.

2) The original outline for VillainE only planned for 5 chapters. Lol wtf.

3) Pretty much the main reason I called the Epilogue an "epilogue" is because I have always hated sequels and swore I would never write one. Grr.....

4) I dunno if it ever translates, because Blossom only calls the girls by their full names when she's upset with them (And I don't think she ever does with Candy), but I always thought Blossom would probably name her daughters something a little more formal than "Cherry," "Cat" and "Candy." So their "real" names are actually "Cherise," "Catherine" and "Candice."

5) Originally Cat's aphonia was only going to be psychological (though it would be believed by all the characters to be due to the physical damages of her accident), and she would regain her voice once she stopped bitching about her life and started making some of her own damn choices. But then I kinda preferred the idea that Jojo would be the one to "give" her her voice.

6) The fake name "Alice Byrne" that Cat uses is a combination of David Byrne's name (lead singer of Talking Heads) and "Alice" just came from the fact that I was listening to my girlfriend's band practicing as I wrote, and they were playing their song "Alice."

7) Cat, Cherry and Candy went to McGavin Intermediate School. I went to McGarvin Intermediate. Lol. Any teacher named in Villain and VillainE was an actual teacher I had. Mr. Collins was the name of my own speech therapist in middle school. I had to see him for counseling because my teachers thought my voice was too high pitched and baby-like. Basically he made me talk like a man for half an hour. Ugh. I hated him. Fucker.

8) The robbers who kill Blossom are the same robbers who gave Buttercup/Jojo her scars. Goddamit, Blossom... see if you had just helped your sister instead none of this shit would have went down... in the end, the damn robbers get away anyway and then kill you... so was it worth it??

9) As I wrote the scene, the soundtrack for Jojo's death was "L'Arena" by Ennio Morricone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFJMNo8r8Xo

10) It's weird to read reviews/comments that say things like it "makes sense" for Buttercup/Jojo to be a lesbian because she's a villain...lol.. because... Blossom is totally a lesbian, too. Duh.

11) Blossom's fake last name "Nikita" mentioned in the last chapter of "Villain" means "the unconquered one."

12) I almost changed the ending of "Villain" last minute, thinking it to be too "bad" of me to introduce OCs. I dunno... I always felt that OCs generally only existed in bad fan fiction. I also hugely hesitated to write VillainE because ultimately the story would center around these OCs... Ugh. Anyways, if I had changed it... I never really thought of an alternate. Just hesitation I guess.

13) While writing Blossom and Buttercup/Jojo's characters, I always treated their relationship as more of bitter ex-girlfriends, rather than an angry/vengeful siblings. *shrugs* Read into that one all you want.

14) The movie Blossom and Buttercup saw in the flashback in CH. 11 of VillainE was "Room 1408." It's not very scary, lol.

15) "From genisis to revelation. The next generation will be, hear me," are lyrics from "Police and Thieves" which was mentioned in CH. 20 of Villain and it foreshadows the future Puffs.

16) The song Cat dedicates to Princess in CH. 14 of VillainE is called "This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)." The lyrics describe how the singer has finally found his home in this person that he loves. No, it's not supposed to foreshadow a love connection between Princess and Cat... but interpret it that way if you want I guess. xD; I chose it mainly because like Cat, David Byrne's lyrics constantly obsess over not knowing who he is, or where he should be, where his home is.... and this is the one song in which he finally proclaims he's found his home/his love/his identity. I meant it to foreshadow that Cat WILL find happiness/her love/where she belongs.

17) Of COURSE Cherry is evil. Her eyes are bright demonic RED, dammit.

18) Still can't believe I finally finished this damn story. o_O;

writing, random, powerpuff, fandom, the clash, villain, lol, wtf, behind the scenes, fan fiction, talking heads
