Here Is Where We Start And Where We End: A Mix For Ten II, Rose, & Ten I
notes: To say that my attitude toward that certain event in "Journey's End" has changed over the last week would be quite an understatement. Yes, it still kills me, but I'm much more accepting now than I was when the episode first aired. The astronomical level of empathy I've started to feel toward Ten II has only increased this acceptance. Rewatching the Dårlig Ulv Stranden scene from his POV kills me all over again. It's so bittersweet and tragic, all around.
So, anyway: 16 songs, all quite perfect, if I may say so myself. Most are Ten II/Rose in content -- making a life together, somehow, and yes, I do take this (or something akin to it) as canon. It's all bookended by two songs from the point of view of Ten I, that selfish and selfless bastard. The instrumentals denote the passing of time -- in Ten II's world, anyway. Time moves differently there, more quickly. In Ten I's world, however...well, the past has not yet passed.
