I adore these, so I'm sharing. All are from
Arkangel Productions, save Much Ado About Nothing, which was produced for BBC 3 Radio.
The Comedy of Errors (1999)
role: Antipholus of Syracuse (
complete cast list) // runtime: 1:27:23
Love, love, love. LOVE! As he did this recording prior to taking on the same role for the 2000 RSC production and totally rocks it, he must've been damn near perfect on stage. Also of note are the fantastic performances by Alan Cox (Dromo of Syracuse) and Jason O'Mara (Dromino of Ephesus), a.k.a. Mr.To-Be-Sam-Tyler-in-the-American-version-of-Life-on-Mars.

Much Ado About Nothing (2001)
role: Benedict // runtime: 2:13:47
As soon as I found out that DT had participated in this, I just knew that he'd played Benedict, because duh.

Henry VI, Parts I, II, & III (2000)
role: King Henry VI (compete cast lists:
1;
2;
3) // runtime: 8:32:45
So. fucking. amazing. I loved this way more than I expected to. Kelly Hunter (Queen Margaret) and Amanda Root (Joan de Pucelle) are particularly phenomenal.

King Lear (2000)
role: Edgar (
complete cast list) // runtime: 4:18:33
He had previously played this role in production at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theater in 1998, and its a role that suits him very well.

Romeo and Juliet (1998)
role: Mercutio (
complete cast list) // runtime: 3:02:42
R&J never stops irritating me, as it's the kind of "love story" that I scoff at, but David's quite fantastic as the play's one redeemable character. Also stars Joseph Fiennes as Romeo.

The Merchant of Venice (1998)
role: Launcelot Gobbo (
complete cast list) // runtime: 2:16:30
Not my favorite of plays, but I know it has its fans. Also stars Bill Nighy as Antonio.

(note: technically, David was also in Macbeth (again for Arkangel Productions), but as he played the Porter and therefore appears in only one scene, it's really not much to share. Unless anyone wants it, of course. Or any of the other Shakespeare audioplays by Arkangel, since I do have them all.)
