Plus-side of watching House on the west coast:
After hearing all the groaning about tonight's episode (and suggestion of groaning under lj-tags), it wasn't nearly as awful as I thought it would be. Of course, the low expectations I had due to being spoiled months back for one of the major groan-inducing moments probably helped as well.

As the retail price of the box-set is insane, I'm currently burning the entire series of
Homicide, and as it is the best show ever, I'm watching it while during the process. You know, I have always thought what attracts me to House/Wilson is the same thing that had attracted me to
Bayliss/
Pembleton, and re-watching the eps has definitely confirmed this for me. There's so many similarities in regard to the characters and relationships. (also: I had totally forgot that David Morse played Bayliss' cousin Jim. At the time, I remember wondering if he was the cousin that used to sometimes follow Tim into the bathroom [and I was obviously thinking this before it was implied that there was no "cousin" but rather it was always his child molester of an uncle]. Huh.)
