Okay, I missed the first 10 or so minutes of the episode, but I don't think that really matters...

With the exception of thewlisian_afer's reaction post, I haven't read any post-episode responses about Wilson being the one to betray (::rolls eyes::) House. I mean, last week when I posted the summary for "Merry Little Christmas" to house_wilson (which said in its very first sentence that Wilson went to Tritter to make a deal), it seemed like everyone was pretty much understanding about it. But I swear, if I see any "oh my God, I hate Wilson! How DARE he do that to House!" posts, I may have to cap someone's ass.

I had absolutely no problem with Wilson making a deal with Tritter when I was spoiled for it last week, and I have even less of a problem with it now. Why? I read the end of the Wilson-Chase scene as Wilson thinking that Chase has decided to turn House in to Tritter, and Wilson deciding that he better do it himself before that happens. Because the likelihood of Chase wheeling-and-dealing a reasonable sentence for House at this point in time? Nonexistent. Wilson on the other hand? Obviously did it, 'cause dude -- the two months of rehab thing is an excellent deal. He still obviously cares for House, probably way more than he should, but since that devotion is something that fascinates me about the character, I'm perfectly okay with that. And hey, he's protecting House. Even though House is being a COMPLETE FUCKING ASSHOLE, he's still protecting him. If that's not unconditional love, I don't know what is.

And like I expected (and feared) -- the last scene did absolutely nothing to kill my Wilson-whores-himself-out-to-Tritter-to-get-that-fucking-amazing-deal "plot" bunny. How else are we to think that he was able to get such a sweet deal and no punishment whatsoever for his own lying? David Shore et al. must really not want me to have any shot at Berkeley. I still need to write the "I was born a poor, black child" portion, godammit!
