Tape is easily my favorite film of RSL's. Based on a play, it's the kind of film that reveals itself to the audience bit-by-bit. RSL's character, John, is quite Wilson-y, which is disturbing considering this film is proof positive that RSL possesses a certain quality in that his characters can do just about anything and still be likable.

And like my icon says, the friendship between Vince (Ethan Hawke) and John is VERY fucked up. (Amusingly enough, there's a couple of exchanges between Vince and John that are reminiscent of ones that have taken place between House and Wilson.) It's also slashy as hell, both in the text and subtext.
