So you know, I had a look at the comments on the Mugglenet news post (first page only) about Emma Watson being on Teen Vogue & there was the usual expected plethora of continuous praisings, the "ZOMG UR ALL JELUZ" lines in varying sentence construction, bad grammar, spelling and punctuation.
But by Jove, there were gems!
1. Though I think Emma is an okay actor, Teen Vogue typically focuses on fashion and I have to admit that she really is in desperate need of a stylist.
2. What? WHAT? She's not cool enough to be on the magazine cover...
3. EWW. why? she is not harry potter. she doesn't deserve to be on the cover. why are they making it seem like emma is the star of harry potter? hardly anyone knows who the hell she is. I don't get it. She isn't famous. She can't act and has horrible fashion. The magazine is destroyed. I agree with Ashley up there that said THERE GOES THE MAGAZINE. It's ruined. When I go into the book store, I'm going to hide every copy.
4. It seems that many people like her because she's pretty even if they don't admit that that's their reasoning. Some of the comments so far only prove that. (Same person as #1)
5. I def. think she's pretty, but I think there could be a better actress for Hermione.
6. That's stupid. They should pick better people to put in their magazines. Emma isn't exactly what you would call a role model. She's not that talented, she completely ruined Hermione's character, and she's not that nice, either. I know people who have met her, and they say that she was really unfriendly. And there are all these articles about how she denies autographs to her fans. Also, she has the worst fashion sense. She claims her style is 'punk,' but that is NOT punk. And have you seen that dress she wore at the premiere, the brown one? She looked like a grocery bag!
I was considering suscribing that magazine (either this one or teen people) but now I'm not going to, for sure.
She doesn't deserve to be on the cover. Hilary Duff would be better than her. At least parents think she's a good role model. (I'm not a big fan of hers, but that's what my parents are always saying--that she's a good role model and stuff.)
7. Natalia, I'm not dissing Emma or anything, but do you honestly think that JKR would ever say that one of the young cast members was bad for the role? No, she seriously wouldn't. She'd be nice about it. Plus Hermione in the 3rd movie is a complette 180 from Hermione in the 1st movie. They're seriously two different characters.
Who knows if there's a better Hermione somewhere out there in the world? They only visited schools that wealthy kids attended. Who knows if there's someone less fortunate that would have fit the description better?
and there was also - and you can't really say that you didn't think something like this would crop up -
Don't you people just love me? Thanks for all your support
