He wasn't released (and is now super-pissed).
Anyhow. I couldn't adequately explain to the crazy lady that not taking advantage of something isn't always bad. It's a strange concept these days, and probably pretty unpopular in times past, but I find mroe value in simply being than being more, if that being more involves nullifying part of me now and then.
It's just kind'a annoying. Thus far, it seems like people are more interested in "helping me [cope]" than helping me get what I'd like: solid information. She'll grab ahold of something I say and give it a good, "Well, how can you turn that around?" (hint: I don't care!) Some of the stuff I cannot control and others I simply do not mind. I just want information, then I can figure out any next prudent steps I choose to take. It's as if they're completely taken aback that someone would come in for information and be perfectly content otherwise!
Something a tad like being spoken to as if I were a child, by an adult.
"Mom! Mom! There's a creepy guy in the living room! He isn't doing anything bad, but he's there! What's he doing there?"
"Uh huh. That's nice, honey."
I wonder if they have any idea what it is like examining one or two things--to the exclusion of anything else--never stopping until an answer or conclusion is found. Or, what it's really like to be misunderstood constantly! You know, like is happening to me (all over again).
Ugh!
Edit: Oh yeah. Still tired/burned out. I'll remedy that over the weekend, I hope.
