This post is a reaction/rant the updated new about the new Rurouni Kenshin anime that is to be put into production. I have been in cloud 9 ever since I found out about the news; knowing for sure that with this new anime comes the Jinchuu arc being finally given justice in terms of the story, character development and design. But then I saw
jane_drew_ post about it (
Link) and I have to say I'm not happy what so ever with this and I'm sure a lot of people aren't either
I MEAN FOR FUCK SAKE! WHY REDO THE KYOTO ARC AGAIN! ITS ALREADY BEEN DONE AND THERE IS NO NEED FOR IT. WE WANT OUR JINCHUU ARC!
I am not happy at all. I mean its not like the OVAs were so fantastic that they don't want to redo them or that they don't have any more of the original material to make something new.
This is pure bullshit! The fans of RK don't need a second Kyoto Arc; we have been wishing and pinning for the Jinchuu arc for years and now that you have the green light to go ahead and make a new RK series; you're basically giving us the middle finger. I don't understand why they would spend money on something that will not give the fans the full pleasure of the arc
I don't understand why they keep doing this and piss off the people who have been fans and are still fans of this series The new Kyoto arc will be done in Misao's perspective ... -.- I mean really? I love the girl but I hardly think her perspective is going to add sort of value to the series. I agree with
jane_drew_ in terms of what she mentioned about perspectives which is why I linked her blog
So no ... I've had my share of disappointments with this franchise's anime series and how they continue to fuck with their fans. I don't think I will be on my edge of my seat when it comes out. Now had they brought in Enishi I would have my eyes glued to the screen and actually BUY the animated arc rather than download it because I love that arc so much and want to support it
There's going to be a live action movie as well ... *sigh* most likely going to ruin that as well but I'll keep my hopes up for the live movie
