Day 21~~ 30 days of fandom meme
Repeating this pairing again, I try not to do it but sometimes I share a couple of different reasons/feelings for a couple of pairings.
Day 21: A pairing you like and no one else understands why?
Goku and Chichi
When I first started to watch this show, I like most of fans of the show saw Chichi as a huge bitch. Bring in a few years when I started to watch the show again, I slowly began to understand her character and know the real Chichi that everyone seems to misunderstand. A lot of people don’t like this pairing because of how the don’t see Chichi like I do and thus they see Goku and Chichi as a bad couple.
My reasons for liking Chichi are as follows:
- She gave up her title, her martial arts and her social life to be a house wife/mother for her family.
- she is often bashed for making Goku do things that he does not want to do (driving License, shopping..etc) but when you really think about it, everything that she does is for the benefit of her family. Families need someone to drive around, remember when she had to walk into town and back?
- Doesn’t allow Gohan to fight but study. Well look at Gohan now, he has a great career, a great family, a great home with a good income. All because Chichi pushed him into studying so he would have a better life.
- Goku constantly leaves her to fight, I’m not complaining about that, guy needs to do what a guy needs to do. But come on, how many women will wait for their husbands after they died on them a couple of times, not coming back to her after given the opportunity to do so. And what erks me the most is when Goku left with Uub. I dare anyone to find another woman who will stay faithful to their husbands and take care of her kids the way that Chichi has. Yet she always showed that she could do without him but in reality I don't think she's as strong as how she protrays herself in, I think she becomes strong for her sons, this pic potrays it very well
Its also very obvious that Goku loves Chichi. Several examples include:
- two kids, not one but two
- the kiss they shared
- Goku freaking when he dreamt of Chichi’s death by the hands of the Androids
Chichi has really grown in my eyes as a character and I have to say that I admire her greatly. She is easily one of my favorite character of the series
