So, I seemed to have contracted the stomach flu, or food poisoning. I'd say yesterday was just a touch traumatic. I went to class at 3:45, and somewhere in the middle was suddenly over come with nausea. "Strange," I thought, but I figured I was just dehydrated. Then my stomach starting churning, I ignored it thinking it was just a normal stomach ache, and continued on to my next class where I had to take a test (in psych research methods). I got about half way through the test before I calmly got up, walked to the bathroom, and puked five times. I felt much better, thought that was the end of it, and went back to finish my test. Leaving campus was a nightmare. I started out walking slowly, my stomach killing me, attempting to keep down the vomit. I realized right when I got to the end of campus that I had to vomit again, but I didn't know where a bathroom was, so I sat down for a minute, then kept walking. Well, that was a bad idea I guess, because I ended up running to a trash can and puking right in the middle of a busy street in front of Dunkin Donuts. Pleasant, yes? I made it to my garage, started to drive down, and realized that there was no way I could drive all the way home, heaving out the window. So I pulled over, and desperately called my mom to pick me up. Pretty much from that moment on (around six thirty) until about nine thirty or ten, I was puking every five to ten minutes. Finally stopped puking at midnight, and got some rest. I've spent the day today drinking water, nibbling on bread, and sleeping. Apparently, once you've spent an entire day expelling food, you have to reteach your stomach how to work. I had to miss my stats class today, which will most likely be a problem, I had a pretty important advisor meeting, and work, all of which I missed. Fun.
