▐ ELABORATE
჻ PERSONALITY
"My most important thing was lost. Because of that, I will do everything I can to protect things that are important to others. Whatever it takes."
Many things have happened since Allen said the above, but much of the sentiment remains unchanged.
Allen is far from being a straight-forward person in terms of personality: he is multi-layered and complicated in almost every aspect. Since spending time with Mana, Allen has fashioned himself into a fine example of young gentleman, arguably even more so since his adopted father's passing. Allen tries to maintain this well-mannered image in a way that he believes would make Mana proud were he still alive to see it. Allen is friendly, forth-coming, polite and generally good-natured to nearly everyone he meets, eager to lend a hand whenever, wherever, and however possible. He will speak formally for the most part, though when he lets his guard down he may become less proper in speech, show more brat-ish tendencies and possibly display irrational spats of anger more suited to his age. This aside, Allen is optimistic to a fault, wanting desperately to believe there is potential for good in everyone which makes him almost always willing to forgive anyone-even mortal enemies.
Despite the sweet and chivalrous image, Allen does have a darker side to him. When provoked he has little to no guilt biting right back and at these times he can be bratty and sarcastic, though Allen is never cruel, crude or sharp-tongued to the undeserving. This dark side is likely directly related to his ability to flawlessly cheat at cards, using this method many times to gamble and pay off debts accumulated by his Master in the past. To the present day when using this talent, he shows very little remorse at all.
While being bright, forbearing and cheerful, Allen is far from a pushover. From skirmishes with Kanda fellow comrades at the Order to conflicts where the stakes are as high as winning or losing a war, Allen is resilient and will rarely back down. He faces challenges head on, sometimes recklessly, and grows particularly defensive when it seems someone is being taken advantage of. He will step in without question to stand up for someone else with very little hesitate at all, acting very much as the protector.
The ideals of protecting and liberating those oppressed by the Earl and his allies are interwoven into Allen's ideologies far more than in the context of his often dangerous martyr complex. His ideals are symbolically and physically part of him; to Allen, his left and right hand each represent in flesh an area he has dedicated himself to protect. His left arm he has dedicated to akuma whose souls remain trapped and suffering until they meet their end by an anti-akuma weapon, while the right arm has been given to defend humankind and the living. Allen's choice to envision his emotional beliefs in the form of his arms is a constant reminder to him about all the things he stands to fight for in his world. Within the Order, however, he does not hold a very popular opinion and he has been met with discomfort and even outright hostility for his opinions. One main area of conflict comes from Allen's sympathy toward akuma-he does not see them as heartless killing machines, but as suffering victims of circumstance who need saving. The only way to free a soul chained to an akuma is to destroy them using Innocence and if any other method is used in the place of an anti-akuma weapon Allen becomes extremely distressed for the state of the soul. To Allen, to deny the akuma’s existence as humans would be to deny Mana which is something Allen cannot bring himself to do.
In all, Allen wants to protect and save people, in the position he is as an exorcist he has been told this is an impossible and downright foolish want: exorcists are not saviours, they are destroyers. But Allen wants to be a destroyer who saves, even if he is alone in this want.
Really, Allen is a hypocrite-he wants to sacrifice and give as much as he can to and for others, but he refuses to accept the same in return from anyone. He holds the same level of self-sacrifice for the friends he claims to have a deep sense of devotion to as he does for people and causes he has only known of for a very short amount of time. Sometimes this self-sacrifice will be offered to enemies too, and in many ways this mentality is downright insulting to his most valued 'friends'. I believe, personally, Allen has a somewhat warped idea of friendships and the legitimacy of them. I find it unreasonable that someone who wants to be friendly to everyone and at the same time claims not to care about what others ultimately think of him has a true understanding of what friendship is. I think Allen likes the idea of friendship for the romantic idea of it, certainly wants after it, and has developed a degree of closeness with some people, but I think the experience of genuine two-sided friendship is something Allen has yet to allow himself to truly experience. This is not to say that it is at all unobtainable for him.
One of my more personal reading of Allen is that in spite of everything he puts forward and what people commonly want to believe about him, he has extremely low self-worth and so a lot of his smile are forced, masks if you like. He has no blood relations to speak of, the only person to say they loved him was killed-twice over-before he joined the Order. My belief is that the only reason Allen even became an exorcist was because it was suggested to him by General Cross. I feel if Cross had not come to Allen when he did and told him he should join their cause with his Innocence that it is very likely Allen would have not moved from the spot he was slumped in after Mana's annihilation. Allen throws himself willingly into dangerous situations and I read this as Allen having passively suicidal tendencies fuel by guilt over the death of his father. I find it hard to believe that Allen does not have more than a few issues regarding what he feels he 'deserves' in retribution for this traumatic event.
Despite being rather messed up and complicated, Allen really is a good person and tries very hard to remain so. He is a kind-hearted young man who wants the best for everyone around him even if it costs him everything, and on the surface how could that possibly be a bad thing?
The second person residing within Allen's body-the 14th Noah, traitor to their clan and supposedly the younger brother of Mana Walker-remains an open question in terms of intent and personality.
჻ ABILITIES
Allen's left arm is his parasite-type anti-akuma weapon, currently called the
Crown Clown. When activated, the first form elongates Allen's fingers to
talon-like claws, draws a long white cape over his shoulders and makes a silver masquerade mask accessible. Invoking his Innocence in this way gives Allen assess to several abilities:
"Cross Grave" → Both an offensive and defensive move;
Allen can draw a cross shape upon his enemies, crucifying and dealing out considerable damage. In the manga it has enough strength to destroy Level 3 akuma. Defensively it can be used to create a kind of shield using the same cross-like formation.
"Clown Belt" → Formed from the white cape section of the Crown Clown, the Clown Belt has varied uses. It can be used a kind of restraint to trap enemies, bring objects to Allen's hand, be used as a rope to assist in climbing or
save someone from falling. It can also be used offensively to
slice through enemies. Finally, the Crown Belt has been seen once to wrap around Allen's body when he has been knocked unconscious,
puppeting him when he is no longer physically able to fight himself. "Crown Edge" → An offensive attack that fires small
crown-like projectiles at enemies.
"Edge End" → A powerful
sweeping offensive attack from the claws on Allen's left hand while it is fully activated.
The second form of Allen’s Crown Clown separates the whole limb from his body and transforms it into a large flat-bladed sword. Because this sword is literally formed from Allen's left arm he must wield it with his right alone.
"
Sword of Exorcism" → A sword formed from Allen's left arm that has a similar destructive range to the Cross Grave attack but also has the ability to purge the dark part of the Noah, leaving only their human section behind. This exorcism was first attempted on Tyki Mikk but for whatever reason a bad reaction occurred, instead amplifying the darkness within Tyki, causing him to lose control of himself and become incredibly powerful and destructive. In theory, the blade will only damage Noah and akuma, not humans. With this in mind, Allen attempted to impale a Level 4 akuma along with himself feeling confident that because he was human it would not harm him. However the sword reacted with the 14th Noah residing within him and caused considerable unexpected physically damage to Allen. In this time we also discover that Allen can summon the sword to his free hand with his mind if he has been separated from it. The sword has striking resemblance to one owned by the Earl, though inverted in colour.
The 14th Noah/Neah Walker
Implanted unwittingly into Allen are the memories of the 14th Noah, the supposed older brother to Allen’s adoptive father.
The 14th Noah has on several occasions taken control of Allen’s body, though never for any great length of time. In recent chapters we witnessed Kanda Yuu dealing Allen a
heavy blow with his sword, which turns Allen’s skin
ashen like the Noah, and ultimately is the action that
awakens the 14th. The Noah have regeneration abilities, therefore when Allen’s body takes on the form of the Noah the wound inflicted by Kanda is healed, as are subsequent other injuries Allen sustains.
Additional abilities unique to the 14th Noah are still as of yet known.

Arctic fox▐ HOW WILL THIS CHARACTER FIT INTO THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE GAME?:
Allen has always been a person dedicated to heading forward in life and not stopping. No matter what hardships he faces, how hard it gets, how much he is damaged emotionally or physically, he always strives to continue going on. It is in many ways why he survives so well as a soldier: his desire to push on and keep going no matter what means he will never back down from a situation and will not stop until he is physically unable to do so. His concerns tend to lean toward assisting others before himself-sometimes at the very expense of himself-and as such he’d very likely become dedicated to the project of finding suitable ways to get everyone home, especially if they seemed like people who had not seen war or were of more delicate dispositions.
