Sure, come in. I just have to say that I'm not a big commenter on other journals. Sometimes I do but sometimes I don't :).

Was that maybe Langenfeld? My sister lives there. And kudos for learning some german, that's appreciated!

Haha I know that town. It's the home of a favorite german comedian character.

Lol ... do you mean Rammstein?

But you are right, faith should come before love ... love should come IMMEDIATELY after that, both must be entwined, but without God in it love can be so blind and crippled. I'm so glad my girlfriend isn't hostile to God...

I'm glad you got out of that crap, Iratxe ... really, praise God. I live in an area of Germany (the ore mountains in the southeast of the former GDR), where there used to be quite a number of satanists. It's freaky and dark. I still feel love for some of these people because they're misled and still have good in them, but it's so dangerous, it brings so much heartache just to think of it. I can't help it, I must stay away from that people even though I would love to evangelize them. But I've had visits of the devil and of demons. Right now I can handle it because I've created myself a good life with my family and grew closer to God. But I'm not sure I could take up the battle again, for people who are in the claws of the devil. You give me hope for them. May Jesus give us His wisdom and create in us a strong heart and character!

I would like to know how old you are. Are you a cradle catholic?

Well I wish you all the best on this journey. My dad was an atheist too, but my mom is a christian as well, though she returned to the faith only 10 years ago when she got sick with cancer. Always remember that our faith is rich in wisdom and depth and love. It's really everything we need, God gave us a cup that always "runneth over". Do you read much? Recently I've been reading a lot in Khalil Gibran's book, "The Prophet". I love his everyday mysticism. And about your parents, don't stop praying and believing and hoping for them. I also think there is forgiveness of sins after death ... Jesus said there will be in the next world as well. He longs so much to forgive us and to take care of us and to forget the past ... He is the God of love and everything indeed.

I think the same way. Sometimes I doubt because of certain passages in the bible, but lately I find the courage to actually believe in it.
