My evidence that Environmentalism is a religion
1. It has a Garden of Eden. The "perfect balance" of nature, before man came along.
2. It has "Original Sin". The Industrial Revolution.
3. It has a God figure. Mother Earth.
4. It has saints, priests and prophets. Al Gore.
5. It has demons. Anyone who thinks global warming is a hoax.
6. It has sin. One word. Pollution. More specifically, your "carbon footprint".
7. It has absolution of sins. Carbon offset credits.
8. It has a moral code that its adherents follow. "Green" energy, "green" buildings, etc.
9. It has a belief of armageddon. The polar icecaps melting and the penguins dying.
10. It offers salvation to humanity if everyone follows the religion. Everyone being "carbon-neutral".
