i just listened to kaki king's "legs to make us longer" on nice headphones from start to finish, while laying on my bed with my eyes closed... and i cried. i cried because it restored more than an ounce of my lost faith in this wretched business we call 'the music industry.' i cried because someone so talented was able to be successful and have a major label deal. i cried because the days of being recognized and appreciated for your talent and musicianship (rather than your bullshit) are not completely over. and i cried because it is beautiful, inspiring art.
