Edit: Just a quick thumbs-up for the new Gorillaz album, "Plastic Beach" ("Experience" edition out on the 10th of March - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plastic-Beach-Experience-Gorillaz/dp/B0032W7D08), which picks up several ethnic threads from Albarn's Beijing Olympics-inspired "Monkey" project, and knits 'em into the continuing Gorillaz musical multiverse. Oh poo, that sounds really pretentious, but if you're familiar with how things have played out since the release of "Demon Days" half a decade ago*, you'll appreciate the imagery. ;o)
Hate to play favourites without doing a full track-by-track, but "Stylo" ticks all the right boxes, and "Empire Ants" is almost like a Hawkwind tribute song...in a good way, so they've passed the test and are going on the MP3 player.

Interesting year for music, actually - the new Goldfrapp album ("Head First") is officially out on the 22nd of this month. [Insert happy face here.]
*Bonus nostalgia - I picked up my deluxe edition of that album in Woolworths. *Sigh.* 'Tis all very sad.
