Bonus items: I'm finally catching up with the personal e-mail backlog, so my apologies if you haven't had a reply yet.

Here's a little curio via Thom VanHorn (VP of Global Marketing) at Application Security Inc. Whoever would've thought that database hacking could be so...dramatic? Well, Thom did, and AppSec have turned it all into a series of professionally shot "webisodes":

'“The Unprotected' illuminates the sobering fact that database security is no longer a 'nice-to-have'. Today's regulatory environment and the fact that the database is squarely in the crosshairs of hackers has made it a 'must-have'. Organizations are suffering from a false sense of security and compliance. This is evidenced by the fact that 56 percent of organizations were breached last year - and 40 percent of organizations fail security audits on a regular basis. We have no doubt that highlighting real business scenarios - in a way that's entertaining and educational - will help raise visibility, spur action, and result in a boatload of bookings for AppSec.

“The Unprotected" tells the story of Greencrest Financial, a fictional financial services firm that must achieve compliance by the end of the quarter. Unfortunately, not only is Greencrest failing its audit, but to make matters worse, the firm's credit card table is suddenly hacked, compromising tens of thousands of sensitive customer records.

“The Unprotected" features professional actors and was written by award-winning screenwriter (and Application Security, Inc. veteran) Aaron F. Schnore, who also penned the script for the feature film "Inside a Change" (directed by Rik Cordero), winner of the Best Picture award at the 2009 HBO New York International Latino Film Festival. “The Unprotected" was directed by Jorge Rivera, also a long-time Application Security, Inc. employee, who is best known for co-producing and co-writing the award winning psychological horror short film “Rhyme Animal “ (also co-produced and co-written with Schnore).'

Largely agreeing with E and Derren Brown, here - last night's Campus on Channel 4 was patchy, but genuinely laugh-out-loud funny in places:
