What is it with these new brooms, and the destruction of homeworlds? First it was Rusty knocking Gallifrey off the star charts in faux Doctor Who, and now Abrams has stuck it to the planet Vulcan in Star Trek.

They like to make their marks in strictly negative ways, don't they? Silly little tykes.

...I didn't feel it was appropriate to speculate about Sarek taking a child bride (this film's got more than enough problems already), but yes - even with the ravages of alleged shoplifting all over her face, Winona still only looked about five years older than Spock in those scenes.

Embarrassing.

I still think Winona's best works were 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' and 'Alien Resurrection', though I haven't seen the latest ST yet. Talking of which, there's another article winging it's way to you.
