Grimley's only wish...

...was that the new boys had been left in Gilbert's care, rather than his own.

Gadzook and Gerald acquired at the St. Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art, Glasgow. http://www.glasgowmuseums.com/venue/index.cfm?venueid=13

Footnote: In case anyone's curious, when the original photograph (upon which the illustration here is based) was taken, Gadzook had just raised an interesting point about the changing social rôles of gargoyles, and whether or not by filtering evil, the stone brethren might be in danger of actually absorbing a modicum of it, presumably via a form of "spiritual osmosis". He tried to expand upon the concept, referring specifically to the casual breakdown of law and order in contemporary Britain (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6766119.stm), but was interrupted by Gerald, who announced that he was fed up with holding his stone ball, and desperately wanted to go and pee on someone's head. *Sigh.* (Grimley, understandably perhaps in the circumstances, greeted this news with considerable chagrin...)

"It's going to make the ivy grow like crazy, that's what worries me. I'll be completely covered in the stuff by August..."
