Hardcore feminists are so strange...I seriously wonder how their little minds work.
It's important to remember that like environmentalism, feminism is a religion. It has its own priestesses, its own creed and catechism; it has its zealots, its apostates and its heretics. It's not interested in truth; it is the Truth. It is the Way, the Truth and the Life - and again like its historical counterpart, that Received Truth is imposed by courts and enforced by terror.
It even has its own Creationism. Oh, yes - the whackyjack Baptists who claim the Universe was created around the time the Sumerians were inventing glue are not the only ones who reject the scientific method which refutes them. It was a screeching, bitching cabal of these twisted sisters who rammed a “non-binding resolution” through the ever-compliant, ever-foolish UN to the effect that unlike every other life form on the planet, humans have six (6) sexes. Or genders, the linguistic term preferred by people whose last experience with biology was in high school, but whose business is words and how to twist and use them.
Six sexes - yet you could canvass Women's Studies departments until you were tired, and I'd wager you'd not find anyone even there who could list them all. *
This is the explanation for the peculiar grammar of that sentence: “Sexism is a system that privileges men over other genders.” There are only two sexes, and thus only one other 'gender' (unless you want to count neuter, which they wish they could; women who detest men for not being female and themselves for being female, they strive constantly to erase the gender distinction and create an androgynous society), and that's not what 'sexism' is either, but again, facts are pesky, useless things, of no value to the True Faith, and the true believer will have no truck with them.
* I believe they count surgical modification as creating a new sex. Despite the unabashed, undisguised origins of feminism in the CPUSA, which recognized how the disaffection of bored, college-educated white suburban housewives could be made into a weapon against the West, helping to bring it to its knees (so the Soviets could reach it) - this is not a rehabilitation of Lysenkoism. It is merely an exercise in power: 2 + 2 = 5, if the Party says it does.
