Where, behind the rabbit?

The thing I failed to write about last night, because I was too tired, was the Rabbit.

The question, always, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, is "What are we going to be confronted with in drawing class today?" Yesterday there were many people absent, because they had left early to go home for Thanksgiving, so we were hoping we might get some kind of a break. Well, not exactly, as it turned out. We didn't have to draw anything, but we did have to construct something from paper, which we will be drawing when we go back next week. "Let's make something cute!" someone suggested. "A bunny rabbit!"

And so we built the weirdest, lumpiest, most crumpled and masking-taped rabbit you could ever fail to imagine. And then we gave it wings. And then the teacher took it away and locked it in his office, so none of us would be tempted to come in over the holiday and sabotage the poor thing, so as to avoid having to draw it later.

The Antenna adjusts the starboard wing, while Eric pretends innocence.

This is not the face of someone who is contented with his lot in life.

We named it Harvey. If only it would imitate the original Harvey, and be invisible!

As for today, it was mostly a lot of grocery shopping. I bought some wine glasses, though, to use at Thanksgiving. Now I feel almost like a real grown-up, although I think I can still claim to be a degenerate youth by pointing out my lack of tablecloth. I'm kind of excited about the prospect of doing the full-on dinner. I've never attempted such an ambitious cooking project on my own before. It will be interesting to find out which things I've failed to anticipate.
