Even after more than twelve hours of sleep, I was unhappy about having to wake up in the morning. The snow had turned back into rain, so school wasn't entirely closed, but their website said the building would open at 10:00, and that classes before then were canceled. So instead of going to class, I worked on the damned assignment by myself, and made more progress than I have in about three weeks. Later I heard that the stupid class had happened after all. Balls. I suppose that means my unexcused absences will be enough to lower my grade, but it was probably worth it, since I know I would have gotten nothing done if I'd gone in.
In fact, if I could somehow manage to just not go to class any more for the rest of the term, I'd probably not have much trouble getting this silly propaganda put together. Hooray for school, that great destroyer of productivity.
It is almost a miracle that modern teaching methods have not yet entirely strangled the holy curiosity of inquiry; for what this delicate little plant needs more than anything, besides stimulation, is freedom.
