A day off, in which to...go to school anyway. Sigh.
It's all good, though, because I got to do a whole damn bunch of printing. I think I've finished with all the basic parts of my color sample book, and I've also finished an edition of three prints. To get three the same, I had to make six altogether, because I foolishly did a complicated thing with three plates and two colors. They look pretty awesome, though. They'll be dry by the time I'm at school again, and I can scan and post them. I'm also thinking about what else I'd like to add to the color samples, and deciding that the answer is a series of split-fountain pages, with either two or three colors each, illustrating what happens when you mix things in various amounts.
This evening I've been tinkering with iterated function systems, printing transparencies for use in photo-etched plates. Observe, if you will, the previous sentence: this sounds more like myself than I have in at least a year.
