I sure have spent a lot of time on my feet today. I walked up Capitol Hill in the morning, to meet up with my typography class at the design company for our field trip. That turned out to be fairly interesting, but it also meant I was standing around for a couple of hours. After we were done there, I walked down Broadway and got a cheap-ass hamburger and some excellently greasy french fries, which I've been craving lately.
Back at school in the afternoon, I was quite looking forward to sitting down for a while in class, which worked out well until the fire drill. More standing around, this time in the parking lot outside the building. It had stopped raining by then, and was starting to be nice out, so that wasn't so bad.
After school was over, I went home by way of the market to get bread and lentils and rice and fruit and meat, because my fridge has been more or less completely empty for many days. And then I met Z at the gelato place up the street, which was awesome. I had a scoop of raspberry and a scoop of mango, and I'm thinking I may need to go back at some point and try their tiramisu. On my way back home from that, I saw that the moon was visible for the first time in weeks. It's at that incredibly thin crescent phase that I like so much.
So it's been a busy day of constant motion, and I'm a hell of a lot more cheerful than I was when I woke up this morning. My plan for the evening is to sit down, and keep sitting. And then sit some more, and then go to sleep.
