Missing, presumed fed

This morning we had a field trip to the Frye Museum to look at color in paintings. That was interesting and sometimes frustrating, since many of the paintings were hung and lit in ways that made it hard to avoid glare: it's tough to see the subtle variations of color when all that's visible is the reflection of the greenish spotlights. We got done with that a little earlier than we would normally have gotten out of class, so several of us decided to go have lunch somewhere other than school, just for a change.

We ended up at a chowder place on Lake Union, where I had a halibut quesadilla (awesome) and some chowder (tasty, but too expensive). Beer was involved. I should point out that in spite of some misleading photographic evidence, I was not in fact drinking the beer.

We were a bit late getting back to our afternoon class, but not by much.

In the late afternoon there was a good sundog.

Also, by special request, I ask you, my beloved readers, to tell me the answer to this extremely important question:
HOT or NOT?
And how about this guy?

optics, weirdness, pictures
