I am finally feeling more like myself again after detoxing for most of the day and part of the night now. I will be spending tonight in, either reading House of Leaves again or watching a movie. Maybe both depending on how bad my attention span gets. ^_^ I keep meaning to read all the parts of the narrator Johnny something-or-other in House of ( Read more... )

If you was using iPod with peecee, it's formatted for peecee. I think you'll need to reformat it to use it with a Mac.. but that may have changed. But it's possible.

Yah, did that.
Reformatted it to Mac so it says Mac in iTunes now and not Windows. Also tried resetting iPod itself. Nope. I even tried to restore it to factory settings, twice. Nope. I don't know what happened. :[

Check it on peecee again and see if it works that way. Did you have one of the older iPods that was specific to PC? I dont know that they were really any different but maybe I'm wrong. :-\

Windows didn't even recognize it. That's happened before, but a while ago before. iTunes exact wording is "Attempt to copy to the disk 'iPod' failed. Disk could not be read from or written to." Are the 4G iPods now defunct or what? This just sucks.

Aside from saying make a Genius Bar appt at one of the Apple stores so somebody hands-on can look at it, on the Mac, open the Applications/Utilities folder and open Disk Utility. Format the iPod to think it's a regular hard drive, then do the iPod software restore again. it worked for mine once when it went retarded!

Oh damn it that doesn't make sense. Mine did that a time or two but I got it back to normal, it didn't die until I dropped it while updating it. Thank God my replacement (the silver iPod mini) has been wonderful since I bought it.

Oh well. I thank you much for helping! I got more help from you in the past hour or so, than I have all day from the LJ iPod community. :)

For the price of a repair I could just buy a new one, not that I really want to. It's a shame I bought this via eBay and not brand new. :\ The closest Genius Bar is about 2 hours away in one of the biggest malls ever. Unless I have at least another reason to go down there, I'll have to wait. Or pray that my iPod makes a miraculous recovery overnight. Poop.

And thank you again for the mouse! I did kind of wonder when I got your Christmas card and no package, but I knew there had to be a reasoning behind it, haha. No worries, it's all good. And by the way, it is warming up for at least this weekend. Your card send mother nature warm temperature vibes!! ^_^

Oh btw I didn't have a box for your mouse so I haven't sent it yet but I will very soon, maybe first week of January if I can't find time before my vacation.
