seven long years paid off
My personalized CD from Satanic Puppeteer Orchestra came in the mail yesterday, though I didn't find out until this morning. For the hardcore, first x-number of fans that pre-ordered their 5-CD debut box set, they also got some stickets, a personalized letter and a personalized CD made just for them. We got everything except the specialized CD back in June or July.
I recognized the return address on the package because it said "Prof. B Miller" and I was like "...maybe a christmas present? Hmm..."
Dude.
It's a 5 song CD with the first track being a personalized, spoken word message directly to the fan. Me in this case. I freaked out.
Talking about how I was a fan for the past 7 years (almost 8 now that the year is ending), and that I was the 3rd person to pre-order the CD set and some other stuff. Then there was some banter about microwaves and gigahertz. There is even a cover of a Misfits song on there! O_O
Especially weird because 1) Their music is completely robot-electronic and 2) I just bought my first Misfits CD (which coincidentally came in the mail today.)
I was so overjoyed listening to this crazy message on the way to work.
