the oversung hero

I'm addicted to Guitar Hero, even though I've never actually played it.
I watch my sister and her boyfriend play the hell out of it. On Expert, no less.
(They are really, really good too. Like 90+% on Expert. Wow.)
My sister's (possible) favorite song to play is Skid Row's "18 and Life"
And now ... it's stuck in my head and I love it. Love-It!

I've been slightly contemplating trying it on Easy/Beginner
but I have absolutely no hand-eye coordination.
Or foot-eye coordination either for that matter
so I never even attempted DDR, haha.

In 8 minutes, it is officially my birthday.
It's like a complete 180 from last year's week and a half long celebration
but I'm not disappointed in the least. This year has been sooo different.
For the good and the bad.

I think maybe since I was turning 25 last year (and 25 is one of the numbers that equals 7, my favorite number, it may have something to do with it. I'll think it did, haha.)

I'm more or less content with a subdued birthday this year. I'm happier just being with my friends, than going out ... with my friends. Going out isn't a priority, at least currently. I can go out whenever I want to really, if I can stay awake long enough, whereas last year I couldn't go out as much since I worked nights to this year's days.

Interject ... I must have played "18 and Life" at least 3 times since writing this so far, hahaha.

But yeah ... maybe next year I'll have different hours again, who knows. Maybe a different job? In the very least, I wish for weekends off instead of having to work Saturday during the day. That totally ruins my Friday nights. :[ AND any Saturday plans I could have made. :[
I did apply for a graphic design position in a different town. They haven't gotten back to me a second time, but from their response to my initial inquiry, they seemed ambitious in their desire to build up their business in the area. Oh, and their name? Mystic Liquid (otherwise known as "Solar Milk" haha, ok inside joke.)

I saw "August Rush" on Friday night, and truthfully it was pretty good! A little far fetched at parts, and at once point I was like "What?? Now come on now, that can't happen" but apart from little bits here and there, the storyline was pretty damn good, and the music was pretty freakin awesome.

As for my tattoo, it's healing well, I think. o_O
My leg is understandably sore, but no real pain from the tattoo itself. It's starting to itch a little today, but it was infrequent. A little dab of A&D ointment every couple of hours and I'm a-okay.

Now, let's plan for companion tattoo... ^_^
