I caved in just like the pit behind my house did so long ago.
I wasn't going to download Portishead's new album until gave a listen to more clips but I got bored, so I did. Oh wells.
So far, it's nothing spectacular but I do like it. It also seems a far cry from the only other album I have from them, Dummy. Seeing as I never really knew Portishead apart from that album, and specifically Glory Box, I can't say that this is a better or worse sound for them. I can only say that I do like what I'm hearing, especially the song 'Hunter' ... 'We Carry On' is pretty good too, as I am listening to it right now.
