My grass is blue and I like it that way.

Apart from My Morning Jacket, I have found myself really craving bluegrass music (or atleast tonight, plus John Denver, like whoa) and bits'n pieces of Ryan Adams stuff. Predominantly Love Is Hell, Easy Tiger, and Jacksonville City Nights stuff. I've loved My Morning Jacket ever since I heard them, maybe last year, but recently my love for their "Z" album has doubled. I love Jim James voice. Love it. Even his yelling. Love it! Hahaha. And just their sound in general. This delayed/reverb/keyboard alt-country type thing they have.

But yeah, since my iPod acts all temperamental once in a while, I was subjected to listen to whatever CD's were in my car, one of which happened to by Easy Tiger and as soon as I listened to Halloween Head, I thought "I have to go to Philadelphia. I just, have to." Boom, decision made, the end. So either that night, or the next night I made a hotel reservation. At my favorite hotel (by name only, since it's a small more B&B, in the heart of CC Philly. Woo!) because it's extremely warm, welcoming, and cozy. Not that I don't like bigger, grander, chain hotels, but for a weekend getaway (of sorts) I'd prefer this. The Embassy Suites I stayed at last summer when I went to see Ryan Adams (ah, see, trigger?) was mind blowingly awesome. I could have lived in my room. It had a balcony, and the biggest, and single most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in. Holy shit. <3

So despite the colder weather, and the threat of being blown around by wind, I am going to Philly. I may not have a balcony this time around, but it's not summer this time around either. I will deal.

I also realize I may need to recaption my icon. I don't know why I called it west, because I'm pretty sure that's east Market St. Market and 12th, if I remember the set of photos from Stock.Xchng corrently. Hmm.

And my weekend begins. ^_^
