TWENTY-FIVE

[ALL ACTION, ALL THE TIME.

Once, this curse was old, familiar, but no less nettlesome to Ishida Uryuu. He had gone and returned without those memories - but that did not make him naive. Practicality demanded a search of the network each day. He had had the opening shift at the crafts shop, but happily the devices were portable ( Read more... )

[Oh, but, when you're as confident, you don't need to use the shadows to hide. So for Tatsuki, it's just a coincidence that she's wandering around the same path as he. It's not a coincidence that she bumps into him -- that's just distraction]

[What is with everyone being so distracted today? He, highly alert, cannot always manuever himself so well. Here, he's trapped between a rock and a hard place, literally if one counts a concrete wall as rock, and a tree as hard. He tries to twist and jump back, but alas, tree, and there is collision.]

Arisawa-san, [exasperation overruling apology] Couldn't you have been more--

[But the mistletoe has grown, and Uryuu's miniature lecture is impeded by that alarming creeping impulse.]

I am returning from work! And I've been very careful.

[ Unlike with Doumeki, Uryuu has at least felt attraction toward girls. He's also kissed this girl before, though it was a curse and his memories of that are like looking at someone else's memory, perhaps on a videotape. In any case- his ability to resist it is lower, and is inclination, especially because, well - he might as well get it over with and free them, right?

He aims for her cheek.]

[Oh the day someone finds out how to shut Ishida up, she will ask them to write her a book with instructions for it.

Sadly, though, there's not much time for her to think on that, since the mistletoe's at work, and the City works in mysterious ways. Although he moves for her cheek, and she can see him clearly, she does not have the inclination to let it stay at that.

Or rather, the small part of her that knows too painfully well that she's been having a crush on this idiot that's been on and off again for the past months, that every curse seems to pull them together in one way or another, and the mistletoe above--all work in tandem, and overrule whatever resistance she should've logically had.

So at the last moment--perfect timing--she turns her cheek away from him, and her mouth to him.]
