In their majority, they're minor manga particulars that in no way contradict the anime canon, merely supplementing it: birth dates, names of bodyguards, blood types, etc. They're not meant to hinder anyone, and merely provide me with a more authentic reference point. If they're a problem for you, please let me know.
why play the anime version, if you know the more intricate manga one?
In short, personal preference. While the manga and its animated version share writing material with astounding fidelity, there's a definitely a different atmosphere governing the two. I prefer the anime, because its focus is significantly more obliging to humour, rather than romance.

Do we HAFTA? Er. Sure. Canonically, Tamaki expresses a bit of arrogant certainty when it comes to Schubert, almost taking him in stride. What he plays throughout the anime is vaguely reminiscent, in my opinion, of Ravel and Berlioz. So those stuck. Add tarantellas - just because. COME ON, IT'S TAMAKI, WTF. *__*b

Sad, but likely true. I know what I like, and I try to substitute the all too lacking academic background with some amount of research. Mistakes are, however, inevitable, especially given how Tamaki's unfortunately quite virtuoso; I'll be very thankful if you point out errors. Really, I mean no offence to the people who do play the piano, and I apologize if you interpret things differently.
