When you get your learner's permit in maryland, you're given a book with all of these lessons and tests that you're supposed to complete and bring with you when you have your drivers test. Interesting how the third lesson jumps straight into driving on the road with no warm up in a safe place first. I bring this up because I gave my sister her first lesson today. If we'd followed the lessons, I'd probably owe someone a lot of money right now! It was that scary. My uncle taught me to drive by picking me up from work and making me drive home. I don't think I'll do that with my sister. >_<
Lesson one for me: Don't freak out and start yelling while the driver is driving. Especially when they're headed for a tree.
In other news, I finally unloaded on my friend about why I was pissed. First he said that he was busy from working 6 days a week. Then he said that he didn't think it was fair that I was mad at him because he's busy and our schedules conflict...even though they don't really. Then pointed out that some friendships last through not speaking. I reminded him that when I first met him, I had a boyfriend that I had to let go because he stopped making the effort to talk. I don't have friendships like that. I don't love anyone that much. And I don't think he does either, he's just thoughtless. If you miss someone, you call them.
So he MAY be dropping by on tuesday and hopefully he'll remember to bring my crap with him this time.
