Summary: Littleton is the very epitome of wretchedness. For lost_in_108's prompt Taken.
To Cindy, taken has always been such a harsh way to describe it. As time passes, she realizes they saved her from the unmerciful tyranny of fear that reigned the jungle (black smoke, ticka-ticka sounds, roars of a thousand devils) and cruised amongst the trees like a banshee.
When they bring the girl to the Temple (Littleton is the very epitome of wretchedness) she realizes that could have been her: a victim of her circumstances, a mindless slave to her own insanity
Cindy can hear Littleton’s distant shrieks from Dogen’s chamber and tries to block them out.
The last thing she wants to be is regretful.
