German subtitles and translating home...
Just sitting here watching MTV in Germany. Sometimes the programs are dubbed and sometimes they just have subtitles. This particular program has subtitles and they just announced someone on the show from Marietta, GA...where I'm from. I thought that was pretty cool until I read the subtitle and saw that they had translated it saying "und sie kommt aus Marianna, Georgia!" I guess it probably doesn't make a bit of difference to anyone else in this country except me and maybe a select handful of other Georgians from the metro-Atlanta area. Just an interesting little culture clash and touch of home tonight. :)
