Moderator Announcement
Hello everybody! This is just your friendly anthropologist community moderator checking in with a few announcements and reminders.
We are a growing community and are fast approaching 2,500 members! I want to thank each and every one of you for helping to make anthropologist the excellent community that it is. I learn so much by reading this community and more than once it has helped spark an interest in topics I had previously never even heard of or thought about.
Just a few requests as we continue on into the future:
When you post, please remember to include a descriptive subject and make sure to take advantage of the tags feature. This will allow people searching for previous posts or looking for information on specific topics to more easily locate the relevant posts.
If you are posting an article, please make sure to give credit where credit is due, and include the author and a link back to the original source. Mostly we haven't had a problem with this.
If your post is long (my general rule is that if I have to scroll to read it all, it's long) make sure to use a lj-cut. Large images and possibly not safe for work images should automatically be placed behind a cut with a warning. If you're not sure that your post is completely on-topic, it would be polite to use a cut.
Lastly, if you ever have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to contact me or one of the other maintainers. I can't always guarantee an instant response, but I try my best. Also, if you have any general comments or ideas on how we can improve this community, please feel free to post them in the comments here! Everything this community is is due to its wonderful members, so whether you post every week, only occasionally, or are just a lurker, I want to say thank you again for being a part of anthropologist!
