Books?
I've just been nominated (by Peace Corps) for North Africa/the Middle East. Which, looking at the countries in which they operate, means Morocco or Jordan. My question for you is, can you recommend any good ethnographies?
I've read A Street in Marrakech, but nothing else that takes place in either country.
*If at all possible, I'd prefer if the ethnography were written from the perspective of someone who is Jewish or female, or in my happiest of dreams, both.
