Just a quick update: the Democratic Senate voted NO on the McConnell cloture today.  Hurrah!

It is possible to make one's voice heard.

As a side note: you know that you have lived in D.C. too long when you see "SOTU" and you know without looking it up that it means "State of the Union".

Call four Senators.  Your two senators (for whatever state you live in) and call Senators Clinton and Obama and ask them to vote NO on Senator McConnell's FISA closure motion on Monday.

Interesting news: It snowed today in Baghdad (last time it snowed there was in the 1940s)
