This afternoon the girls (Katya & Bogdona) were playing with dolls.

They were talking (in Russian) and heard very clearly "Baba Yaga".

Oh my!

Which made me think of the "Covention" larps all those years ago (there was a plot involving Baba Yaga, although I can not remember what it was specifically).

I have posted photos from today's tweet up at NASA Headquarters with the crew of STS-125.

They discussed their mission (to repair the Hubble), took questions from the audience (and also questions from twitter/live feed peeps), and afterwards several of the astronauts stayed around to chat and sign things and were available to geek out.

I was good all day - I finished writing the test (totally new test because of new books this semester...).  Dealt with some dumb student questions via email (the big paper is due on Tuesday) and one non-stupid question.  Stupid questions take a long time to answer ( Read more... )
