Green Day Tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!
Green Day concert tonight here in D.C.
It is odd having concerts two nights in a row. Months of nothing and then all at once - boom!
The Depeche Mode concert last night was excellent! The last song they played was "Waiting for the Night". They did it as an extended, extra spooky song (which it already is...). It is one of my favorites, so it was great to hear it live. And DM played "Master and Servant" which I had not heard live before.
I have very high hopes for the Green Day show tonight.
Green Day's new CD is 98% as good as the previous (it would be hard to top "American Idiot" which is the name of the previous CD as well as one of the many singles on it.) American Idiot (the CD) also worked because of the time when it was released (2004) and where the U.S. was culturally at that time...
I would write more coherently except that I have spent the day running errands and my brain is post toasties...
proof of no brain - I wrote the year that American Idiot was released as 1994. Elf needs sleep badly....
etc - proof I needed to go to the food store today. I took it as a bad sign that this morning the milk had small solid bits in it (it was not expired). Bleh! It has made everything else taste odd all day. I was so tired that I didn't look at the milk before drinking it.
