Good News Week[end]

This has been a good weekend:

Friends had a much wanted baby on Friday - mother and baby are both fine and healthy and I am unbelievably happy. Wish I could be in Canberra to hug them all. I have baby knitting to send, and have seen baby photos - she is one of those Hollywood babies who look unbelievably beautiful and unred and unsquished only a short time after birth. Happy tears. Fidgitboy cried (he said he had salt in his eyes).

Fidgitboy and I had a lazy day yesterday enjoying each other's company and doing nothing much except reading and lazing and giving each other foot rubs and just being together quietly. Much love.

Today we went to a tourney which I enjoyed a lot despite the rain, taking Digby with us and wearing him out (yay!). Puppy is now fast asleep at my feet. We established firmly today that he is good with small children. Even though he bounced at adults and got hysterically excited a few times, he was always very careful with the one year old baby who was fascinated by him; careful sniffing, no licking, very gently walking around her on the rug) and played very nicely with the two four year olds and the eight year old who wanted to play with the big puppy. Very glad that he has gotten over his fear of 'wrong sized' people and that he recognises he needs to be gentle with them.

I have eaten chocolate, my love is making panad noises at me (for the non-welsh intiated, panad = cuppa), my dog is playing at being a hearthrug and my cats are happy.

This has been a good few days.

squee, fidgitboy, happy, digby
