The Deed Is Done
The weekend is a bit of a blur. It went very well, except for the waiting to process in to be invested in the cold for half an hour, but generally speaking, it went well.
Actually, it's a bit of a blur.
The next day was fun, and more 'our' day. We both felt that the Saturday Feast was definitely our predecessor's Last Hurrah and wanted it to be as much about them as possible/as they were comfortable with. Sunday was our first event as Baron and Baroness and it was a lot of fun. Fidgitboy got to fight in the Tourney, a very dear friend (and one of my oldest in the SCA) is to be Baron's Champion, I didn't lose the pointy hat once and Digby went to his first Tourney and survived. A few special moments (note to self - take three times as many plastic poo-bags as you think you could possibly need), especially Digby's first encounter with a small child. Very small child nervously patting big puppy. Big puppy having petrified hysterics and trying to get away from the wrong-sized human.
What else can I say? We did stuff. Stuff happened. Not very informative, I know, but I'm just relieved it all went well.
Oh yes, the dress looked fabulous!
