Random story of the day.
I decided to take a shower, as I always do an hour or so after I wake up. Keeping myself clean is important to me. But it didn't rank that high for very long.
I left the bathroom, turned right, and walked 3 steps. Then I was back in my bedroom. But my bedroom wasn't exactly the way I had left it.
Because sitting on my dresser was a yellow envelope. It said "To Anthony" on the front of it. The handwriting looked familiar... but it wasn't anyone that lived anywhere around here. And the really confusing thing was that there was no postmark, no address, no return address, and no stamp.
The curve at the top of the "A" and the otherwise very rounded letters (a pleasant change from my straight line handwriting) gave me a good idea as to who it was from. The other confusing part was that the person in question wasn't even home.
Life is full of confusing mysteries.
As it turns out though, I was right. I opened the left side of the envelope as always and pulled out the card.
It had multiple layers to it, and when I was done reading it all I could do was stand there, rather taken aback. Then there were a few tears of happiness. I'll never let go of that card.
That's all I have to say for now. I hope you have an enjoyable evening.
