Yep, as a random last trip before school starts I am once again in Louisville, typing on my grandparents' laptop which is a very recent model Dell (Inspiron 1100, for those of you who know anything about computers) with a built in modem. They have a real desktop PC but it is a Pentium 2 and is extremely slow.. and this laptop's processor makes their dial up connection so fast that it puts my satellite modem to shame.
But anyways. This morning I went to this little social gathering for members of the House of Leo, more commonly known as the purple house. It was alright, I suppose.. cept for the part where I first got there and everyone at the picnic pavillion was just sitting there, looking like they were on death row and staring at me with the coldest of looks. If looks could kill, you wouldn't be reading this- you'd be reading my obituary.
But yeah, they explained to us the way they play battle ball there, which is somewhat unique compared to SJS's way (which I still like better) and then we split into two groups and actually played. It was alright, just extremely confusing as there was no way of knowing who was on your team and who wasn't, unless you had a photographic memory.
Then we ate pizza. Yum.. pizza..
Around that time my mom showed up, since I wanted to just leave that place early cause I didn't see how a social gathering would last 3 straight hours. But I went and played two hand touch football with them for maybe 20 minutes and then got in the car, and we headed for Louisville.
Upon getting here, which took longer than normal because we stopped at this mini amusement park sort of place and had a little fun on those Alpine slides for a good 45 minutes, we went to eat at O'Charlies. That was good too.. I especially enjoyed the bread....
But anyways, this time I came prepared. Because this time we'll only be away from home for maybe 3 nights, and my dad didn't come.
Less staying time + 1 less person = one hell of a lot more cargo space
So my keyboard and turntable fit into the trunk without any problems, even though they were both wrapped in heavy blankets to prevent damage or injury, to avoid a lawsuit.
Don't ask...
There's only one problem. The turntable doesn't have its own speakers...
So Chris, could I possibly borrow one as it needs its own cause the volume is set really high to get the sounds and its mono audio so it only needs one anyways and yeah I don't have one but yeah I'll bring one next time cause yeah yours are a lot more powerful anyways and yeah..
You think I'm kidding.
But since I got maybe 6 hours of sleep last night, and a little less the nights before that, I'm goin to bed now... I'll talk to you all later..
