Rumor Mill: Is Tom Cruise being replaced in the "M:I" franshise?: This is the question swirling around Hollywood today. And the rumor is that
Brad Pitt is reportedly being lined up to replace
Tom Cruise in "Mission: Impossible IV." Woah! What happened? Well, simply, Cruise was recently dropped by Paramount Studios dropped because of his "unacceptable conduct" in public and the lacklustre box office takings of the third film in the franchise. Now it seems bosses are set to turn to Brad to rescue the ailing franchise. One industry insider told Britain's London Light newspaper: "Mission: Impossible IV will not include Tom's character, agent Ethan Hunt. "They're considering a brief mention, saying Hunt retired to live a safe life with his new wife. They're set on Brad taking over as a gutsy new head operative who puts together his own unique team of specialists." Studios bosses are allegedly considering offering Brad over $21 million to sign up for the fourth film, the single biggest fee ever paid to an actor for one film. What do you think of this recent development? Post it after the jump!
Has Madonna re-invented herself again?: Compare the two pics above and tell me: Which version of
Madonna's hair is better? The earlier version from this year (left) or the new, re-invented version (right)? The long, disco inspired flip is out, and the new platinum, sharp-edged bob with side-swept bangs is in. Is this an improvement or should Madge re-re-invent herself again? Love the platinum bob or miss the longer locks? Post it!
Smallville, 90210: Here's one for the gossip columns:
Tori Spelling -- yes, that Tori Spelling-- is headed to
Smallville as the Daily Planet's new gossip columnist. This being "Smallville," she'll have a special power, the Wonder Twin-like ability to turn herself into water. I wish she had the power to turn really bad acting into thespian goodness, since this whole deal smells like a batch of rotten eggs. What do you think? Good choice or bad mistake? Post it!
Eminem's Divorce Preoceedings referred to moderator: Oscar-winning rapper
Eminem's divorce proceedings with wife Kimberly Mathers have been referred to a mediator. The couple attended an hour-long private hearing yesterday in Michigan and Macomb County Circuit Judge Antonio Viviano subsequently told reporters the case was being turned over to a mediator. Lawyers for both parties say a date for mediation hasn't been set. Opposing lawyers Harvey Hauer and Michael J. Smith, who represent Eminem and his estranged wife respectively, said they hope the case will be settled amicably. Mathers declined to make a comment on the way out of the courthouse and Eminem - real name Marshall Mathers - wasn't seen leaving the building. Eminem filed for divorce on April 5, 82 days after the couple remarried. The rapper remarried Mathers in Rochester, Michigan, on January 14 - one month after the couple announced they were getting back together. Their first marriage lasted from 1999 until 2001.
Until next time, Peace out!
