TV Watch: "Big Brother: All-Stars": That groan you heard across the land was from me, upon realizing that the jury had voted for
Mike "Boogie" to win
Big Brother: All-Stars. Wait a minute...Mike "Boogie"? Like, the same "Boogie" who was a big time loser back in Season 2? Yup, that would be him, folks. As I said last week, this ending was as exciting as last year's finale with
Ivette and
Maggie. There are only so many ways to spell boring, know what I mean? I have come to the conclusion that the only person on the jury with any brains was
Marcellas, who voted for
Erika to win the money. Sure she floated and she deceived in the house, but who didn't? It seems the jury was most upset at themselves for not getting rid of Erika when they had the chance. In all fairness, the final two should have been
Will and
Janelle, since they both played the game the strongest. But, alas, they didn't and we were stuck with this lame-o final two and even lamer winner. But, following in the tradition of
Survivor All-Stars, Janelle wins the greatly reduced “Rupert Award” for being so darn popular. Fans made the final “America’s Choice” of the season and gave Janelle $25,000 in a move that shocked no one, including the jury who all guessed that she would be the winner. So the game is over for another year and not a moment too soon. Was the right person chosen as the winner? Who would you have rather seen win? And why was Marcellas the only one to choose Erika? Post it after the jump.
Has Britney Spears given birth?: Reports are running rampant late Tuesday that
Britney Spears had given birth to her second child, a boy, at a Los Angeles hospital. There was no confirmation or denial from Spears' camp. The Enquirer was first out with a report on its Website that a child, weighing 6 pounds and 11 ounces, was born at 2 a.m. Tuesday. Us Weekly, on its Website, agreed on the sex--a boy--and noted the birth had gone down at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. (Playing it safe, paparazzi also were said to be camping out a few miles away at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica.) So, if she in fact has given birth to another boy, what should Spears name the bundle of joy? No word yet on the little boy's name; maybe there's still time to suggest one to the
Chaotic couple, before they decide to call him Popozao or Pork Rind. Any suggestions?
Eva Longoria done with TV after ‘Desperate Housewives’:
Eva Longoria says she’s done with television after
Desperate Housewives ends. The 31-year-old actress said she loves the medium of television and the routine it provides, but that “Housewives” will be her last series. “I would never leave ‘Desperate Housewives,”’ Longoria said. “I love doing both [TV and film], but I would never do another TV show after ‘Desperate Housewives.’ No.” It's not like the work can be that bad, right? Where else can you spar with a nun, be mean to your mother-in-law and yell mean things at your live-in-nanny all in a day's work? Sounds sweet to me, no?
